With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Walter Johnson (Topeka, Kansas), who passed away on August 27, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Johnson and Ardell Johnson; and his siblings, Nathaniel, Matthew, John-Henry, Ben Davis, Lula Bell and Ida Mae.

He is survived by: his wife Vertis Johnson of Lake Village, Arkansas.; his children, Glenn, Efrem (Lalania), Konchetta and Sheri Watkins (Lawrence); and his sister Barbara-Jean Simpson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, along with other family members and friends.
