It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Waugh of Topeka, Kansas, born in Beloit, Kansas, who passed away on August 13, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Waugh and Eva Waugh (Moxter); his brother Bill; and his son Michael Patrick Waugh. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Waugh; his daughters, Bethany, Drue, Jenifer Waugh (Ryan Merkow) of Winnetka, IL and Erin Waugh (Rodrigo Jurado) of Chicago, IL; his daughter-in-law Lisa Schmoller-Berndt of Algonquin, IL; his grandchildren, Joseph Waugh of Malibu, CA, Jordan, Jameson Waugh of Algonquin, IL, Eva Merkow of Winnetka, IL and Zoe Jurado of Chicago, IL; and his sister Teresa Perry (Bob). He is also survived by two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brown Foundation for Educational Equity, Excellence & Research. The foundation is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals by strengthening our overall sense of community and fostering equal education opportunity and multicultural understanding.
