It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Edward Ayers Jr. (Topeka, Kansas), who passed away on August 5, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Goldie Ayers (Burnham); and his siblings, Connie, Betty and Nick.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his niece Dee Dee Harvey-Bergeron; his grandchildren, Alex Ayers, Shianne Gentry, Cody Leigh, Emily Leigh and Cody Randall; and his great grandchildren, Johnny, Serenity, Kendra and Leighla.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in John's name to the Jayhawk Area Council – Boy Scouts of America 1020 SE Monroe St, Topeka, KS 66612 to be placed in a fund for youth to be able to go to Summer Camp and Philmont Scout Ranch.
