He was predeceased by: his parents, Gabriel Ortiz and Adelaida Ortiz (Lopez); his grandson Dominic A. Ortiz; his great grandchild Anthony Lily; his siblings, Katherine Ortiz Esquibel, Lucy Dominguez, Antonio Ortiz and Rito Ortiz; and his sons-in-law, Mark Perez and Martin Estrada.
He is survived by: his wife Ofelia Toledo; his children, Ruben Ortiz (Lucia), Daniel Ortiz (Roxie), Cyndi Estrada, Rita Lopez (Gerardo), Elizabeth A. Ortiz and David Ortiz (Denise); and his siblings, Mary Salazar, Thomas Ortiz, Peter Ortiz and Blas Ortiz. He is also survived by Thirty grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren and two great-great granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
