It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Hibbert (Topeka, Kansas), who passed away on May 27, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Casper Eakes and Mary Eakes (Kaberline); her children, David Hibbert (Kim) of Wakarusa, KS, Daniel Hibbert (Diana) of Topeka, KS, Mary Jo Lowe (John) of Topeka, KS, Deborah Werts (Bob) of Lawrence, KS and Cynthia Johnson (Mark) of Haslet, TX; her siblings, Louis Eakes of Tecumseh, Eileen Bohannon of Topeka, KS, Ann Lambert of Topeka, KS and Theresa Zotto of Ozawkie, KS; and her granddaughter Tara Lynn Johnson. She was also cherished by 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

“My sisters Marlene and Susan and I(Carol) enjoyed having Joan's three daughters in our classes at Assumption Grade School and our Mom Yvonne Hefner liked seeing Joan in church and visit with her down through the years. Joan was one of the first people that spoke to me at Pappans when I started there when I turned 60 (7 years ago) and always liked to join in the games and art projects. In fact this last Christmas wreath she'd made I'd helped her quite a bit because it was a lot of work.”
