We bid farewell to JoAnne H. Teeter (Topeka, Kansas), born in Phoenix, Arizona, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 14, 2024 at the age of 90. JoAnne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though JoAnne has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Harper and Alice Harper; and her brother John Harper (Adele). She is survived by: her husband Stanley Teeter; and her children, Scott Teeter (Peg McCarthy), Wayne Teeter (Cathy), Marilyn Disch and Carolyn DeSalvo (Frank). She is also survived by family, which included 13 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Throughout her life she was a patron of the arts: She served on the boards of the Topeka Public Library and Topeka Symphony Orchestra, and she and Stan donated the building for the North Topeka Arts Center, and provided support for the NOTO district.
