Jesse R. Root Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jesse R. Root (Topeka, Kansas), who passed away on January 6, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Jesse leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Jesse may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Root and Mildred Root; and his sister Marcia. He is survived by: his children, Keri Herrick (Steve) of Topeka and Michael Root (April) of Hutchison; and his siblings, Merral, Leslie Root (Susan) of Topeka and Yvonne Raber (Charles). He is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
