He was predeceased by: his father Robert Simpson; his wife Carolyn Engroff (Lemons); his mother Minnie Simpson (Jeffers); his brother Elmer Simpson; his son Daniel Simpson; and his granddaughter Rachel Zabokrsky.
He is survived by: his former wife Donna Kabriel; his children, Ray Simpson (Roberta), Peter "Alan" Simpson, Cara Sargeant (Ed), Kim Weis (Alan), Traci Raab (Curt) and Lisa Godfrey (Tim); and his siblings, Bobby, Dick, Larry, Scott and Patty Diederich. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.
