James Heit Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Heit of Topeka, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on January 25, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Heit and Augusta Pfeifer Heit; his daughter Annetta Heit Meikel; his granddaughter Alaina Meikel; and his sister Mary Ann Heit.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Keenan (Larry), Tony Heit (Terri), Jeff Heit (Cathy) and Mark Heit (Shane); his son-in-law Pat Meikel; his grandchildren, Audrey Campbell (Seth), Phillip Meikel (Tammy), Alex Meikel, Arianna Meikel, Katie Heit Lawal (Dolapo), Paul Heit, Emma Heit, Ellie Heit, Josh Heit, Jake Heit (Ellee), Riley Heit, Henry Heit and Lucy Heit; his great grandchildren, Harry, Teddy, Sam, Charlotte Campbell, Oliver and Evelyn Meikel; and his brothers, Francis Heit (Beattie) and Bernard Heit (Donna).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home (2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka, KS 66614). A rosary will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (227 SW Van Buren St, Topeka, KS 66603).
Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart-St. Joseph Parish sent in care of the funeral home.
