He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur "Jack" Gossett and Thelma Gossett (Byrom); and his children, Diane Worm and Gary Teters. He is survived by: his wife Sybil M. Gossett; his son Elliott Teters (Susan); his daughter-in-law Holly Schram; and his daughters, Vickie Pointelin, Dedra Rogers and Becky Gossett. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; as well as two brothers and two sisters.
