He was predeceased by: his wife Yvonne May Cantrell; his siblings, Connie Sue Haugan, Watie Gene Sixkiller and Harvey Ed Sixkiller; his parents, Eurban Cantrell and Shirley Cantrell; and his stepparents, Watie Sixkiller and Dolly Thompson.
He is survived by: his son Daron Kevin Cantrell; and his brothers, Tommy Cantrell (Freda) and Norman Cantrell (Ginger). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
