It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Ray Long (Topeka, Kansas), born in Dover, Kansas, who passed away on February 1, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Long and Ida Long; his siblings, Hazel, Ruby, Paul, Lyle and Elmer; his former wife Joy Rogers; and his sons, Melvin and Steven Groves.

He is survived by: his son Mark; his wife Maureen Groves; his son Jim; his daughter-in-law Charlotte Long; his grandchildren, Jason and Mardi Long; his grandson-in-law Mohinder Pal; and his great grandchildren, Brenda, Vincent and Jeffrey Alvarez.
