It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen L. Hayes (Topeka, Kansas), who passed away on December 7, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen L. Hayes to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her grandchildren, Talbert and Phillip; and her siblings, Dick L. Smith, Ronnie D. Smith, Bill L. Smith, Betty Losh and Barbara Brown.

She is survived by: her parents, Frank E. Smith and Myrtle B. Smith (Crable); her spouse Fremont B. Hayes; her daughters, Judy A. Lingham of Gainsville and Debbie S. Green of Pueblo; and her siblings, Jerry Smith of Palisade, JoAnn Lyden of Topeka and Emma Osborne of Topeka. She is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Capper / Easter Seals Foundation, 3500 S.W. 10th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66606.
