He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harlan Smith and Odessa Baker Smith; his former spouse Melvilleen Robinson; his wife Debi; his children, David Smith (Irina), Troy Smith, Carmen Bassham (Darryl), Stephanie Deon Setter-Smith (Rick), Tong, Athwai and Angel Eve Mills; his grandchildren, David Paul Smith, Candice Yvonne Smith (Andre), Courtney Dawn Lopez (Eddie), Ksusha Chumak, James Andrew Lovett (Nicole), Luke Alan Smith, Charity Grace Kolb (Jeremiah), Dallas Wayne Pryor, Katharine Hope Smith, Lynn Setter, Mitch and Amanda Erwin; his great grandchildren, Ayla, Jadon, Rylan, Austin, Gilon, Eliana, Myla and Addy; his sons, Jason Lee Smith and Jonathan Mark Smith; and his grandson Jonathan David "J. D.".
