In loving memory of Guadalupe Z. Guerrero (Topeka, Kansas), who departed this world on November 23, 2024 at the age of 103. Guadalupe leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Zabala and Maria Zabala (Peralta); her husband Bacho Guerrero; her granddaughter Melissa; her sons-in-law, Frank Valdiva and Richard "Uzzie" Padilla; and her siblings, Caroline, Margaret, Lola C., Isabelle, Joe, Philip, Tony, Manuel, Memo and Ernesto.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Z. Guerrero, Carroll Lira (Fernando), Mary E. Valdivia and Cana Padilla; her grandchildren, Nick Z. Guerrero (Ashton), Cherrie Duensing (Robert), Steven Lira (Jan), Shelly Valdivia-Garcia (Vince), Chrissy Hilton (Shane), Brian Valdivia (Jessica), Rick Padilla (Stacy) and Jacque Ortiz (Steve Jr.); her great grandchildren, Faith, Josephine, Jack, Justice (Bailey), Joey, Jonah, Aubri, Jacoby, Joaquin, Gus, Juliet, Ryder, Jesse and Jayme; her great great grandchildren, Javin and Julian; and her siblings, Delores Vega and Frank Cervantez. She is also survived by loving extended family that includes many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brennan Mathena Funeral Home (800 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66603). A rosary was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (201 NE Chandler St, Topeka, KS 66616). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (801 SW Westchester Rd, Topeka, KS 66606).
