She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Rucker and Norma Ruth of Washington; her husband Bishop Ishmael Massey; and her brother Glen Allen Martin. She is survived by: her daughter Vivian Hopkins-Okoroji (Kyrain); her grandchildren, Rachel Gilkey (Marlon), Samuel Gunnels, Arron Hopkins (Amy), Larry Hopkins and Louis Hopkins Jr.; her siblings, Marva Moore (Samuel SR), James Howard Steward and Gary Wayne Steward; and her sisters-in-law, Myrtleruth Gunnels-Harrison and Genevia Myrtlend Gunnels-English. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren, lots of nieces and nephews.
