With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gilbert A. Herrera Sr. (Topeka, Kansas), born in Crystal City, Texas, who passed away on May 18, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Sanchez; and his children, Bernard "Bernie" Herrera and Marie "Trina" Kolean. He is survived by: his children, Rosemary Herrera of Puyallup, WA, Virginia Wathen of Tulsa, Gilbert Herrera, Jr. (Lynn) and Christopher Herrera (Jeni); and his daughter-in-law Yvonne Herrera of Topeka.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church or to Heartland Hospice sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
