It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris J Edwards (Topeka, Kansas), born in Horton, Kansas, who passed away on June 22, 2018, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John William Pool and Ethie Myrle Hill Pool; her husband Larry E. Edwards; her daughter Sue Ellen Egner (Greg) of Sanger; and her brother Howard M. Pool (Gloria) of Phoenix.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Anne Hayes (Jim) of Topeka; her sisters, June Ann Moore (Tom) of Topeka and Rhoda Jane Ward of Topeka; her grandchildren, Bob Hayes (Julie) of Bozeman and Sara Egner of Austin; her stepchildren, Cynthia of Overland Park and Randall R. Edwards (Amy); and her stepgrandchildren, Aaron Edwards of Topeka, Kyle E. Fricke (Katy) of Olathe, Amanda Fricke of Overland Park, Madelyn Mae Fricke of Olathe and Aiden Fricke of Olathe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Doris has requested that memorials be made to the Topeka Rescue Mission – 600 N. Kansas Avenue, the Helping Hands Humane Shelter of Topeka - 5720 SW 21st Street, Midland Care Hospice – 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS, or the charity of your choosing.
