In loving memory of Donald I. Wietharn of Topeka, Kansas, who departed this world on February 24, 2025 at the age of 90. Donald leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Wietharn and Irmena Wietharn (Rettle); his brothers, Galen, Marion and Albert; his great grandchildren, Blayke Farrell and Theo Baker; and his brothers-in-law, Kenny Burger, Lee Heideman and Robert Lierz.
He is survived by: his wife Alice; his children, Michael Wietharn, Douglas Wietharn St (Mary), Jacqueline Siess, Tamera Steinlage (Steve), Timothy Wietharn (Shauna) and Chris Wietharn; and his siblings, Phyllis Burger, Dee Heideman, Bill Wietharn (Kay), Jane Niehaus (Frank), Gerri Lierz, Lynn Wietharn (Ruth), Keith Wietharn (Judy), Sue Wassenburg (Bob), Darlene Slattery (Jerry) and Max Wietharn. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brennan Mathena Funeral Home (800 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66603). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (5973 SW 25th St, Topeka, KS 66614). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
