With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dolores A. Bacon in Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on July 19, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob John Melchior, Sr. and Laura Catherine Melchior (Weigel); and her brother Jake Melchior, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Mark Bacon (Amanda) of Junction City, KS, Brenda Harris (Chad) of Topeka, KS, Barbara Waterman of Topeka, KS and Rhonda Bacon of Topeka, KS; and her siblings, Thomas Melchior of Topeka, Cecilia Clickner of Zepherhills, FL and Laura Habig of Topeka. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.

The family kindly requests no flowers. Memorial contributions can be made in Dolores's memory to American Legion Post #400, 3029 US-24, Topeka, KS 66618 and/or Ascend Hospice, 5020 Bob Billings Parkway, Lawrence, KS 66049.
