Diane Marie Reynolds Obituary
Diane Marie Reynolds, 62, of Topeka, passed away on January 23, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Topeka, Kansas on January 17, 1960, the daughter of William "Bill" and Aggie (Schiffelbein) Weigel.
Diane worked as a Para Legal and Legal Assistant for over 26 years with the Federal Government and retired in 2021 from the Coast Guard Legal Office.
She raised and showed horses, enjoyed interior design and was a master gardener and landscaper. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, and was always there to help her family and friends.
Diane was previously married to Ron Ortiz. She is survived by her husband Christopher D. Reynolds of the home. She is also survived by her children, Tom (Katie) Cleland, Jayde Ortiz, Rachel (Chase) Weber, her grandchildren, Anna, Jack, Layne, Ava and Harper. Her parents, Bill and Aggie Weigel and her brothers, Gary (Bonita) Weigel and Kenneth (Anne) Weigel also survive.
Diane's family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 9:40 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church with a rosary to be prayed at 9:40 a.m. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 5th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in the Holy Trinity Mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Catholic Charities or the Helping Hands Humane Society and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
