He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. Kelly and Davida F. Thompson (Jones); his stepfather Thomas J. Thompson, Sr.; his sister Davida J. Kelly; and his uncle David Jones.

He is survived by: his siblings, Steven Kelly, Kim Johnson (Joe) and Thomas Thompson (Myisha); his nieces and nephews, Sean Kelly, Steve Kelly, Carlos Kelly, Greg Rhodes, Michael Johnson, Pamela Kelly, Kristi Kelly, Tiffany Henderson, Brandi Kelly, Alicea Thompson, Imani Thompson and Riley Thompson; and his aunt Laleta Jones. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews.
