She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Butler and Flossie Butler (Curry); her husband Arlen F. Tappan; and her brother Jim Butler. She is survived by: her children, Scott Tappan, Robert Tappan (Nicole) and Sammie Abel of Topeka; her stepsons, Jon Tappan of West Milton, OH and Jeff Tappan (Karen) of Topeka; her grandchildren, Christine, Benjamin, Randi, Emily, Allison, Gentry, Carter, Russell and Natalee; her sister-in-law Virginia Butler; and her nieces, Kim and Cheryl Butler. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
