He was predeceased by: his parents, Morrell Dexter and Helen Dexter; his sisters, Sandra McDonald and Cheryl O'Neal; and his son Scott Dexter.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his children, Marsha Diggs (Michael), Jeffrey Dexter and Brett Dexter (Leann); and his grandchildren, Cory Mills (Cat), Dale Dexter (Ashley), Alex Todd (Jason), Zachary Dickgrafe (Shardae), Keaton Dexter, Amanda Diggs and Sandra "Sunny" Pippert (Sam). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
