He was predeceased by: his mother Reva Nell May; and his grandparents, Mary, Frank King, Clyde and Winifred May.
He is survived by: his father Robert May; his wife Sue Ayers-May; his sister Mary (Marshall Kennedy); and his nieces, Kelly Kennedy and Emily Kennedy.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Southwest Chapel (3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66610). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (3616 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66606).
In lieu of flowers memorials contributions can be given to SLI (https://slitopeka.networkforgood.com) and TARC both organizations David was actively involved in for the majority of his life.
