It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Cairns of Topeka, Kansas, born in Greenleaf, Kansas, who passed away on February 23, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Melvin Cairns and Huldah Crain Cairns; his wife Sheryl Johnson; his children, Shelly Pruitt, D'Ann Miller, Carrie Land (Shawn) and Cory Cairns (Jenna); and his brothers, Stanley Cairns (Myrna), John, Robert and Marvin Cairns. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shawnee County Girls Softball Association, and sent in care of the funeral home.
