He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Waldy and Camilla Waldy (Kitt); and his sister Martha Kay Waldy. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Cochran; his sons, James Waldy (Tami), Michael Waldy (Margaret) and Christopher Waldy (Stacy); and his siblings, Sheryl Evers and Byron Waldy (Jodi). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Topeka chapter of Meals on Wheels, 2134 SW Westport Dr, Topeka, KS 66614, an organization for which Darwin and Dolores volunteered for years.
