He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Thomas and Lillian Thomas; and his siblings, Gerald, Ronnie, Larry Thomas, Delores, Velma and Eula.

He is survived by: his fiancée Connie Reynolds; his grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Mallory, Bowen, Kemper, Cru and Rhett; and also, Lulu, Melissa Flesher (Ryan), Allison Pankratz (Scott) and Malinda Hostetler (Brian). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
