It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Daniel Pleasant Wade of Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on May 29, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Wade and Hazel Wade (Grisham); his wife Mary Ann Schmollinger; and his grandson Damon Bowman. He is survived by: his children, Denise Humphrey (Scott) of Topeka, Debra Miller of Washington, KS, Dana Bodnar (Ted) of Atlanta, GA and Darren Wade (Augustine) of Topeka; and his grandchildren, Erin Humphrey of Topeka, Tyler Humphrey of Topeka, Blake Wade (Leah) of Topeka, Drew Wade of Topeka and Austin Wade of Topeka. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

“I was saddened to see this and that Mary had passed, too.... It's hard to believe it's been almost 55 years since I worked as a kid at the go-cart track, batting cages and such.
