With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dale Ray Oakson of Topeka, Kansas, born in Kansas City, Kansas, who passed away on April 27, 2021 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dale Ray Oakson to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl A. Oakson and Mildred J. Rasmussen Oakson; his wife Judith Ann Sutton Brown; his son Douglas Oakson; his stepson Mike Brown; and his brother Robert Oakson.

He is survived by: his former wife Delores Shantz; his daughters, Debbie Sheals of Columbia, MO and Dianna Freeman of Gladstone, MO; and his stepson Chris Brown. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to North Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care from whom he received exceptional care at the end of his life.
