He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald E. Grimes and Thelma J. Grimes (Evert); his brother-in-law Jim Hammett; and his parents-in-law, Bill and Rosalie McMurphy.
He is survived by: his wife Myra Grimes; his children, Lauren Musick (Thomas) and Alex Grimes; his grandchildren, Adalyn, Kameron and Myles Musick; his sister Diane Hammett; and his siblings-in-law, Ronda Haverkamp (Joe), RoseMary Blankenship (Flint), John McMurphy (Cheryl) and Joan Waegelein (Jim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brennan Mathena Funeral Home (800 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66603). A rosary will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church (3601 SW 17th St, Topeka, KS 66604).
