He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Willis and Vera Arrerna Romig (Myers); his wife Irene Frances Krakowiecki; and his sisters, Joyce Urton and Alice Parsons.
He is survived by: his children, C. J. Romig III (Debbie), Rose Cagle (Steven) and John Romig (Tanya); his grandchildren, David Bryant (Susan), Taylor Romig (Andrea), Payten Romig, Taryn Post, Nathan Post, Nicole Romig Smith (Nick) and Olivia Romig; his great grandchildren, Mason McClure, Asher Romig and Jase Bryant; and his sisters, Karol Perry (Robert) and Alta Kay Hewes (Buck). He is also survived by parents, grandparents and friends.
