It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carole Stanley of Topeka, Kansas, born in Atchison, Kansas, who passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas L. "Cappy" and Mabel Andrews Nicholas; her husband Howard W. Stanley; and her sister Valerie Ingenthron of Topeka. She is survived by: her former husband Raymond "Chuck" Barnes; her children, Stephen R. Barnes, Steve Barnes (Laurie), Doug Stanley (Melinda) and Mary Roy (Charles Banks) of Topeka; and her brothers, John C. Nicholas and Truman Nicholas (Beverly). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 5th, 10 a. m. at Topeka Bible Church, Mulvane Auditorium, 1101 SW Mulvane Ave. Due to the pandemic, masks and social distancing are required at both events.
