It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Camerina Ortiz Ayala of Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Jesus Arreguin and Maria Ortiz Arreguin; her siblings, David Ortiz Arreguin, Jose Guadalupe Arreguin, Rose Blanco, Florence Rodriguez, Joaquina Ortiz and Eustacio Arreguin; her grandson Matthew McElroy; and her great grandchild Elise McElroy.
She is survived by: her children, Raymond Ayala (Tammi) of Topeka, Michael Ayala of Topeka and Annette Ayala-McElroy of Topeka; and her sister Connie Padilla of Kansas City. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brennan Mathena Funeral Home (800 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66603). A rosary was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (201 NE Chandler St, Topeka, KS 66616). A burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (801 SW Westchester Rd, Topeka, KS 66606).
