He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Brucker and Lydia Brucker (Huber); his granddaughter Zoe Brucker; and his siblings, Patricia Ungles, Jacob Brucker and Bud Brucker.

He is survived by: his sons, Aaron M. Brucker (Trayce) of Lyndon, Adam M. Brucker (Mary) of Des Moines and Andrew M. Brucker (Debra) of Lawrence; his grandchildren, Spencer (Olivia), Caitlyn (Lizmarie), Sophie (Thomas), Cyrus, John and Nick; his great grandchildren, Loki, Arthur and Orson; and his sister Bonnie Gutierrez of California.
