He was predeceased by: his father Neal Armold; and his stepfather Norman Smith. He is survived by: his children, Amber Schmidtlein (Greg) and Jerret Arnold (Carolyn); his mother Ann Smith; his siblings, Alan Arnold (Vickie) and Julie Hayward (Larry); and his former wife Quail Lowe.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Washburn University Foundation, to benefit the Washburn baseball program in memory of Brian, sent in care of the funeral home.
