He was predeceased by: his sister Kathryn L. "Kathy" Caviness. He is survived by: his adoptive parents, John T. Grau and Barbara E. Grau (Renyer); his parents, John Grau and Barbara Grau of Soldier, KS; his brother-in-law Andrew "Andy" Caviness; his nephews, Colin and Ethan; and his niece Lauryn.
