He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Michael Slater and Marilyn Ruth Slater; and his sister Cathy Marie Slater Martin. He is survived by: his siblings, Vickie Slater Carver (Mike), Melvin Michael Slater (Mark) and William Wade Slater. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
