He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Oscar Gehrke and Betty Gehrke (Smith); his father-in-law Melvin Jones; his sister Tina; his wife Viola Jones; his children, David Gehrke and Paula Penn (Gehrke); his siblings, Ronald Gehrke, Dianna Tyler, Donna Crist, Gary Gehrke and Judy Verkler; his grandchildren, Michael, Emilee, Hadan, Jared, Justin and Nicole; and his mother-in-law Dorothy Jones. He was also cherished by eight great-grandchildren.
