She is survived by: her husband David Wayne Nelson; her sons, Mark A. Essman, Jr., James M. Nelson and Samuel W Nelson; her sisters, Billie JoAnn Nguyen and Candy Phifer; her stepson Claude "Buster" Belshe; and her grandchildren, Alayna, Mckenna, Anieka, Avery, Lilli, Seth, Jax, Xander, Parker, Katherine and Hudson.
