The passing of Betty Jo Friday of Topeka, Kansas, born in Circleville, Kansas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on August 16, 2024 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Whitesell and Martha Whitesell (Bedford); her husband John Friday, Jr.; her siblings, Gwendolyn Ruth Garrison, Marvin Whitesell and Loren Whitesell; and her grandsons, Greg Alan Wadkins and Chris Michael Wadkins.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Dean Friday, Pat Wadkins (Ray), Marva McKinley (Butch) and Dana Taliaferro (Jerry); her sister Carol Zarda (Ed); her grandchildren, Jennifer Wadkins, Mike McKinley, Justin McKinley (Chandler), Rusty Taliaferro (Ashley), Michelle Smith (Jimmy) and Janet Nellis (Jason); her great grandchildren, Ethan Hayes, Jack Wadkins Nellis, Jett Nellis, Kailee Kottman McKinley, Risley McKinley, Miles McKinley, Avery Smith, Carter Smith, RaeAnna Taliaferro and Owen Taliaferro; her great great grandchild Weston Alan Hayes; and her sister-in-law Jean Whitesell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
