He is survived by: his father Mervin Thayer of Ruskin, NE; his wife Janet Thayer of Silver Lake, KS; his children, Kayla Thayer of Silver Lake, KS and Travis Thayer (Ariele) of Bel Aire, KS; his grandson Kooper Thayer; and his siblings, Jeff Thayer of Fairfield, NE, Pat Boss of Davenport, NE, Kathy Ross (Jay) of Superior, NE, Michelle Peterson (Chris) of Superior, NE and Michael Thayer of Grand Island, NE..

Memorial contributions may be made to the Thayer family for an Educational Fund for his grandson, Kooper Thayer.
