She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Smith and Ruth Royer Smith; her husband Robert "Bob" Metzger; her daughters, Gay Anderson (Danny) and Heidi Ostrander; her sister Betty McFarland; her niece Wendy McFarland; and her brother Stephen Smith II.

She is survived by: her daughters, Merry Magill (Ray), Melody Pollom (Alan) and Holly Anderson; and her nieces and nephews, Stephanie Cook, Stephen Smith III, Kris Denton, Patrick Smith, Karla McFarland, Carl McFarland and Steve McFarland. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Seaman Community Church (2036 NW Tyler St, Topeka, KS 66608).
