She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Leach and Grace Leach (Baker); her former husband Kenneth Gharst; her husband Gene Hinton; and her brother Roy Leach.
She is survived by: her son Terry Gharst of Topeka; her stepsons, Duane Hinton of Topeka and Larry D. Hinton of Topeka; her daughter Dawn Means (Steven) of Topeka; her stepdaughter Linda Sue Ellis of Colorado; and her siblings, Chester Leach of Chapman, Arley Leach of Holton, KS and Edith Burress of Topeka. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
