In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Amy Brunton leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Amy Brunton may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mason Lee and Lois Jean "Jeannie" Isaacson Brunton; her husband Charles David "Chuck" Hodson; her daughters, Mindy Doyle (Adam) and Molly Bendrick (Kris); her grandsons, Harrison Doyle of Overland Park and Holden Doyle of Overland Park; and her sisters, Vicki Swafford (Don) of Perry and Wendy Aldrich (Steve) of Perry. She was also cherished by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barnett Family Funeral Home (1220 Walnut St, Oskaloosa, KS 66066). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Perry United Methodist Church (220 Oak St, Perry, KS 66073).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washburn University Foundation with Washburn University's Music Department Scholarships in the memo line or to Perry United Methodist Church.
