It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aleda Jane Jones (Topeka, Kansas), who passed away on February 21, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvia Redmon and Harry James Lee; her former husband Reverend James Owens; her husband Bob Jones; and her siblings, James Lee, Edward T. Lee, Lydia Lee and Marcella Lee Benson.
She is survived by: her children, Harry J. Owens, Phillip Owens (Christene), Freddie Owens (Penny) of Topeka, Larcenia Owens (Connie W.) of Topeka, KS, Mary Abney of Topeka, KS, Clara Moore (Willie) of Topeka, KS, Charlene Jones of Lawrence, KS and Marcella Smith (Calvin) of Kansas City, MO; and her sister-in-law Golena Lee of Topeka, KS. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
