He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Klinkenberg and Edna Klinkenberg (Grems); his wife Charlotte Klinkenberg (Kisker); his children, Eugenia Klinkenberg, Robert M. (Helen Klinkenberg) of Leavenworth, KS and Debra (Charles Staples); and his sister Eleanor Lenahan. He was also cherished by two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
