Richard James Ogden Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard James Ogden of Tonganoxie, Kansas, born in Kansas City, Kansas, who passed away on February 3, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Richard James has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his son Richard Wayne Ogden; his granddaughter Sarah Pape Breuer; and his sister Patricia Trigg. He is survived by: his wife Sue Ogden; his children, Paula Pape (Carl), Connie Reischman (John), Lynn Kerns (Mike), Jim Ogden and Nancy Pitts (Steve); and his brother Edward Buck. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cornerstone Family Worship (205 US-24, Tonganoxie, KS 66086).

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to the Cornerstone Family Worship or the Tonganoxie American Leigon post 41.
