He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Slawson and Lillian Hutchinson Slawson; his siblings, David, Kenneth, Gary Slawson, Colene DeHoff, Rita Dickinson and Rachel Hollingsworth; and his granddaughter Monica Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Slawson; his children, Pam Slawson (Tom Geyer) of Lawrence, KS, Kent Slawson (Kate McClellan) of Portland, OR and Jennifer Miller (Steve) of Tonganoxie, KS; his grandchildren, Ryko Geyer, Stanislav Geyer, Danielle Miller, Leah Miller Edwards (R. J.) and Audrey Miller; and his siblings, Lloyd Slawson and Barbara Say.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ed Slawson's name may be made to Tonganoxie Historical Society, the TUMC Vision Fund, or the Parkinson's Foundation and sent to Quisenberry Funeral Home.
