Virgil Palen Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Palen (Tipton, Kansas), born in Beloit, Kansas, who passed away on May 18, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benedict Palen and Monica Koenigsman Palen; his son Steven; and his brothers, Adrian (Ching), Bill Mans (Stella), Merwyn Pahls, Clarence Schroeder, Bill Ellenz and Ralph Schmitt.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Harder of Salina, Roger (Linda Batliner) of Goddard, Rodney (Anne) of Beloit and Byron (Barb) of Beloit; his grandchildren, Krista Patterson (Doug), Jeremy Harder (Kay), Caleb Palen, Alison Palen, Vincent Palen, Brady Palen and Blaise Palen; his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Brooke, Jarred, Adalie, Lucas and Lauren; his brother Nelson (Joan) of Beloit; and his sisters-in-law, DiAnna Palen of Osborne, Laurine Schmitt of Tipton, Carolyn Schmitt (Richard) of Cawker City, Eleanor Pahls of Beloit and Delores Brummer (Wendell) of Downs. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be given to the Tipton Schools or the Knights of Columbus.
